Class Memories From 1988

My fondest memories were Bowlerama on 7 mile where the new post office is, YMCA to play basketball and swim, Northland Skating Rink on Saturday mornings to win the free passes for Saturday nights, Edgewater Park where Greater Grace Temple is located, Red Barn on the corner of Lahser & 8mile for chicken and horse rides, TJ's Coney Island on Patton with Tommy & his family cooking up good food while playing video games, and bike riding through the neighborhood. We also hung out at Primo's Pizza on 7mile and the old arcade situated on the corner of Asbury Park and 7mile. The old Norwest and Mercury Theaters, West Side drive in on 8mile, and Roscoe's on Woodward and Warren on Saturday's. Wow, those were the days. We had so much fun and freedom around the city without our parents worrying about anything happening to us. I am sure we had the last "good" childhood.
